The Cupboard of Curiosity

A place where creative courage rules

What is The Cupboard of Curiosity?

The Cupboard of Curiosity is a blog about creativity and having the courage to use it.  The name was inspired by an old cupboard in my grandmother’s kitchen. She kept crayons, string, colored paper, glue, and paper plates in a cupboard drawer. I used those supplies to build odd-shaped kites, paper dolls, and over-the-top Easter hats; anything I wanted. I had a hungry imagination and she knew it needed to be fed.

Thanks to my grandmother and my parents, I pursued many creative endeavors such as designing soft-sculpture dolls, historic costumes, greeting cards, and unique sewing tools. This blog provides readers with a backstory about how I prepare for creative projects. But more importantly, it invites readers to think about and exercise their creativity. After all, creativity is something we are born with. Using it is our birthright.

So, use The Cupboard of Curiosity to foster your process of turning the things you imagine into a fabulous reality. Get those creative juices fired up and flowing.

Thanks.
